What is a dog behaviour flag?
A dog behaviour flag is a bright visual signal attached to a Wag Flags lead. Red means needs space, orange means caution or in training, and green means friendly and approachable. See how dog behaviour flags work.
Will other dog owners understand what the flags mean?
The colour system is intuitive: red means stop, orange means caution and green means go, just like traffic lights. We’re also building awareness through dog trainers, councils and community groups. The more people who use Wag Flags, the more universal it becomes.
Can I use a Wag Flags dog leash flag with my existing lead?
No. Wag Flags are designed to attach specifically to our leads with reinforced velcro attachment points. Our leads hold the flags securely during walks so they don’t slip or fall off.
How do I attach a dog lead flag?
Slide the velcro strap through the flag’s grommet, wrap it around your Wag Flags lead near the handle, and press the velcro together. It takes about five seconds. Visit our dog lead flag guide for the full tutorial.
Are Wag Flags waterproof?
